JV Knitwear offers 100% Danish production

        FAQ

Where is the knitwear produced?  All items are knitted in our premises in Denmark.  All products require some form of further finishing.  This can be washing, steaming, sewing, packing etc.  The sewing processes can either be done in house, giving you a product that is 100% Made in Denmark, or in a Polish sewing facility, giving you a product that is ‘Knitted in Denmark’ and ‘Made in Europe’.

What can we make? We produce all our knitwear on flat knitting machines and these produce different thicknesses / gauges from ‘heavy’ 3 gauge to ‘fine’ 12 gauge knit. We produce all kinds of knitwear, including pullovers, cardigans, dresses, hats, scarves etc.  We also produce knitted homeware items, including throws, scatter cushions, seat cushions, blankets, tea towels, dish cloths, table matts, serviettes, etc.

What is the minimum order size? For a typical garment, this being a pullover, cardigan or similar, we need a minimum of 100 pieces per style / colour, which can be spread over a range of sizes.  The minimum quantity is conditional on the amount of yarn we have to purchase in any one quality or colour.

Do we make samples? Yes, we make samples only as part of a purchase order.  We make a pre-production sample, which has an initial setup cost that can vary depending on the complexity of programming time and machine setup.

Do we stock yarns? Yes, we have a basic range of different colours and qualities in stock, otherwise all yarns are purchased for each specific order and all purchased yarn will be used in the production process.

Do we offer GOTS, RWS, OEKO-TEX, Organic and other yarn types?  Yes, our yarn suppliers work to these standards, we can buy all these yarns types according to your requirement.

What is our production lead-time?  This is subject to the delivery time of the chosen yarn, plus the manufacturing time.  This can only be confirmed once the yarns are selected.

What do we need to start a new project?  A sample is always a good starting point.  Otherwise, all new projects must include a size chart and a diagram.

Do we have certification?  No we have no certification, but being a Danish manufacturer we comply with Danish / European employment standards and safety regulations, and our yarns are purchased from OEKO-TEX certificated suppliers.

Do we offer a label service?  Yes, we can make care labels and product labels in house.

Other labels and accessories must be supplied by the customer.

What is our packaging policy?  To do our little bit for the environment, our company policy is to ship all orders out in re-used packaging.  This is a standard carton size of 59cm x 39cm x 36cm
