Here at JV Knitwear we offer our customers Danish knitted products inspired by their ideas. We can bring your designs to life together with focus on sustainable production.

At our factory, we have the flexibility to work on both medium to larger scale projects, working with various costumers from many different industry types. As a part of our private label production, we offer fashion knitwear, rib knit fabric, knitted lace pieces, homeware pieces and other knitting styles. We can supply your products completely finished, or can also just knit your garment pieces and the various trim parts as required.

KNITTING SPECIALISTS

At JV Knitwear we are specialists in flat knitting. We have years of experience and the know how to knit products in the best possible quality. With our experience, we guide you on how we can knit your design - together with finding the best and most suitable yarns.

At our factory in Isenvad we have several different gauges of knitting machines, which gives us the possibility to knit both tight and lose structures - all depending on what you want for your design.

When you bring in your design, our technicians create a program, before transferring it to one of our knitting machines to produce a pre-production sample. Designs can be a mixture of different knitting techniques, textures, colours or a specific pattern.

OUR WORKROOM IN ISENVAD, IKAST.

As one of the few remaining work places of its kind in Denmark, we have our own sewing room consisting of our extremely talented sewing team.

Having a sewing room together with our knitting facility, gives us the advantage of fast sample production for our clients. This means a much shorter process from concept to production.

Also having our own workroom, gives us the possibility to offer 100% Danish production. This is mostly for medium size orders, bigger orders can also be accommodated this way, but in any event, the knitting process always takes place in our premises.

OUR PARTNER

For private label production we offer the possibility to work with our sewing facility in Poland, which we ship to and from twice a week. Here we can send all the knitted elements together with all accessories like neck labels, hangtags etc., and shortly afterwards, receive the finished items back labelled, in polybags and ready for distribution.

EXTRA SERVICES

SEWING TEMPLATES: Using your measurement charts, we can produce sewing templates in all the sizes you need.

CARE LABELS: We can produce custom care labels with your brand or logo included. This is on a white satin style background with black printing only. These can be standard or fully customized to your specification.

PRODUCT LABELLING: We can print and apply your products labels to both your hangtags and polybags which can include your brand or logo and can include your unique product barcode in the format of your choice. Label is paper, white, peelable and offered in 2 sizes

Please note that all extra services such as labelling, is part of a product package to support the garment production only, and is not offered as a stand-alone product.

THE KNITTING PROCESS

The knitting room is managed our production manager who writes all the knitting programmes and oversees the production on our 23 Stoll flat knitting machines in 3, 5, 8 and 12 gauges. A 3 gauge machine produces a heavy knit which progressively gets finer as you go up the scale to 12gg. All the machines are capable of knitting flat or structured knitwear, in plain or multiple colours. The elements for each garment are knitted separately and typically, a pullover will need at least five different elements. The machines are programmed by our production manager to knit the elements in the correct length and width to minimize waste and will then work continuously until the desired number of elements are produced in each size.

As you will appreciate, this is just the start of the production process and now the elements will go for separating, steaming or washing in readiness for the various cutting, sewing, construction and packing processes. The majority of our knitted elements are sent to our sewing facility in Poland where they are finished following the clients particular instructions. If the garments should be 100% made in Denmark, then we pass the elements to our in-house sewing room where all the processes are completed in our premises in Isenvad.
